First Grade

 

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are often asked for a list of supplies.  For those of you who are interested, listed below is a list of some of the materials we will use this year.  The school district provides the necessary supplies to all students.  The items below are not required. 

 

 Suggested Supply List for Mrs. Fenn’s Class at RBS

Things in red were not on the grade-level list

 

• 1 hard cover 3 ringed binder with pockets built inside the cover (1 inch) * (Label it with a name) Feel free to decorate the cover with pictures from home, etc.

• 1 Box of Crayola Crayons (16 count nothing larger) * (Label each crayon with a name)

• 1 Package Cap Erasers (15 count)

• 6 small Elmer's Glue Sticks (replace as needed) no blue or purple glue* (Label with a name)

• 2 Papermate Yellow Highlighters *

• 24 Dixon Ticonderoga Sharpened #2 Yellow Pencils *

• 1 Pair of Fiskars Scissors (5” stainless steel blades blunt point) *

• 2 permanent Black Sharpie Markers

• 3 plastic Solid Color 2 Pocket Folders with holes punched  (no pictures) one yellow, one red and one blue*( Label each folder inside with a name)

• 1 package of Highland 3in by 3in Sticky Note,  100 ct

• 1 Mead Sketch pad*(Label it with a name)

• 4 ct package Expo Dry Erase Markers (No Light Colors, low odor, fine tip) *

• 1 8 ct box Crayola Markers, classic colors, broad tip— * (Label each marker with a name)

• 1 Pencil Box (hardcover, 5 1/2” by 8 1/2”-standard size) *

• Water Bottle with a Sports Cap*  or   must have this lid, no screw on tops

• 1 clipboard  

• 1 Sturdy Backpack (No key chains, no wheels) *

• An old sock to put around the water bottle (optional)

• A Used Adult size t-shirt to use as a paint smock* (Label it with a name)

*Please label all items with your child’s name.  This will get the items back to your child if they end up on the floor.
